The title of this sculpture is a reference to the Music of the Spheres which is a philosophy suggesting that the celestial bodies make a kind of music as they pass through the universe. This is my attempt to visualize one little refrain of that larger symphony.

I made the sculpture from black walnut, white oak, ash, cherry, and mahogany. It is approximately 13 inches in diameter and 24 inches tall.

Sphere Song is my first kinetic sculpture that is not a rolling ball sculpture.
