The Light and the Life is powered by 2 motors and is engineered to run continuously.24 hours a day, 7 days a week, if you like.

Just as Each Life represented an evolution in my art, The Light and the Life marks another shift. This sculpture attempts to preserve the 3 dimensional intrigue and engineering interest of my free-standing sculptures while also incorporating the easier maintenance and display features of my flat wall art.

I made the sculpture entirely from birch. The 256 1/2 inch marbles are solid birch and the rest of the sculpture is Baltic birch plywood. It is fronted with 1/8 inch acrylic.
The Light and the Life is 35 inches wide,  58.5 inches tall, and 5 inches thick.
