Tell Me the Stories of Jesus

This sculpture was created specifically for the 2015 LDS International Art Competition, themed “Tell Me the Stories of Jesus.” It seemed appropriate.

This 55-inch-tall wooden marble run illustrates stories from the life of Jesus. From the movement and size of the marbles to the shape and species of the wood, every element is symbolic, capturing the stories in a captivating motion. Jesus is represented by a 1-inch brass ball electroplated in gold.

The sculpture includes black walnut, white oak, ash, mahogany, blood wood, purple heart, and olive wood. The balls are 5/8 inch steel with one 1 inch brass ball electroplated in gold representing Jesus.

The piece is approximately 48 inches in diameter at the base and 55 inches tall.
