Flight – 3 Creeks Confluence Park

“Flight” is intricately designed around the mathematical concept of circle packing. The piece showcases circles arranged in a structurally hexagonal pattern. As the pattern spins and swirls, the geometric rigor seamlessly gives way to an organic sense of movement, evoking the sensation of flight.

“Flight” was commissioned for the 3 Creeks Confluence Park project by Salt Lake City and can be seen at 900 West 1300 South, Salt Lake City, Utah.

This piece is 45 inches by 25 inches and created from laser-cut Corten steel.
