The taijitu represents the harmonious union of opposites. I am fascinated and inspired by the many, many opposites which are only truly complete when paired: black and white, heat and cold, female and male, yin and yang. In each case it is amazing to see the power and beauty that is realized not when these opposites compete, but when they unite.
My sculptures attempt to bring together intuitive, right-brained art and logical, left-brained science to capture the power of that union. I hope that people who identify with either end of that spectrum find inspiration and something to consider when they experience my creations.
